LIGHTWEIGHT TRAIL CONQUERER
No other brand stands up to the success of KTM when it comes to enduro, and this is clearly evident in the biggest competition on the calendar, the ‘International Six Days Enduro’ (ISDE). From its humble beginnings, the ISDE has turned into the team world championship of the Enduro scene. This Enduro marathon demands as much from the bikes as it does from the riders, and every year, more than half of them show up on Orange. The 2019 International Six Days Enduro will be held on demanding terrain in Portugal. No chain is stronger than its weakest link, so no compromise can be made for those intent on crossing the finish line. KTM, once again rises to the challenge with the latest, limited Six Days edition of extra-tough machines. Easily identified by their special Six Days design, these bikes feature an extended list of top-of-the-line components, all specially designed and refined by KTM’s own research and development department. These are the ultimate Enduro bikes for the exceptional event.

The state-of-the-art Keihin Engine Management System, with electronic fuel injection, features a new 42 mm throttle body. There are separate systems for cold starting and idle adjustment, while an improved seal of the MAP sensor (MAP = Manifold-Absolute-Pressure) makes the system even more reliable. A reworked throttle cable mount allows for easy access and smoother […]
The standard electric starter on the KTM 250 EXC-F SIX DAYS uses a proven starter drive and a strong starter motor made by Mitsuba. As demonstrated time and time again, it provides quick and reliable starting, saving you precious time and energy when you need it most.
The compact DOHC (double overhead camshaft) cylinder head features cutting-edge technology that is key to its class-leading performance. It has two new overhead camshafts which activate the titanium valves (intake 32.5mm, exhaust 26.5mm) via super-light DLC coated finger followers. For 2020 the cam shaft timings have been optimized to further enhance engine performance. Additionally, a […]
CYLINDER AND PISTON
The engine in the 2020 model features a new cylinder taken over from the successful KTM 250 SX-F. It has a bore of 78mm and in conjunction with a new cylinder head gasket, now has a raised compression ratio of 13.8 :1. The forged, bridged, box-type piston made by CP, features a unique piston crown […]
The KTM 250 EXC-F SIX DAYS’ crankshaft is located in an ideal position close to the center of gravity, contributing to easier handling. It utilizes a short connecting rod, which makes for an overall compact and lightweight engine with a snappy power delivery. A plain big (bottom) end bearing with two force-fitted bearing shells runs […]
CRANKCASES AND ENGINE COVERS
The EXC models feature reworked engine cases, reducing the weight by nearly 300 g. The design allows for a very centralized shaft configuration, making the engine very short and compact, while contributing to an efficient centralization of mass. Additionally, the engine covers feature a smart surface structure which reduces wear caused by the rider’s boots, […]
KTM’s proven cooling system routes the coolant from the cylinder head through the frame triangle, directly to aluminum radiators made by WP. Thanks to flow optimized internal circulation and CFD-calculated ventilation, the system is superbly efficient. In addition, the radiator protectors improve heat dissipation. Especially in the mud. They are also integrated into the front […]
The KTM 250 EXC-F is fitted with the extremely durable, KTM-developed DDS clutch (damped diaphragm steel), with a wear-free steel basket and heat resistant clutch plates. It uses a diaphragm spring instead of the usual coil springs, which results in considerably easier clutch action. The diaphragm spring is also compact enough to allow for a […]
The multifunctional side-mounted counter balance shaft masterfully balances all the oscillating forces, while also driving the water pump. It effectively keeps engine vibrations to a minimum, resulting in the smoothest ride even at the highest engine speeds.
KTM’s engineers have crafted the 2019 KTM SIX DAYS models to be the slimmest, lightest and most agile enduro bikes available. Like the rest of the 4-stroke range, they’re equipped with an E-starter as standard, so the only thing you’ll need to be kicking is ass.
KTM uses lightweight, CNC-machined hubs and high-end GIANT rims on all Enduro models, guaranteeing maximum stability and minimum weight. For 2020, the aluminum spoke nipples feature a reworked design, which conveniently reduces the frequency with which the spokes need to be tightened.
All Six Days models are fitted with high-end CNC machined triple clamps anodized in orange and an offset of 22mm, ensuring a solid grip of the fork and precise handling. The handlebar is adjustable forwards and backwards over 4 positions, so the bike will fit you like your favorite gloves.
The KTM 250 EXC-F SIX DAYS’ one-piece aluminum swingarm is manufactured using a gravity die-cast production process, offering exceptional strength at the lowest possible weight. The single-component casting process offers low weight, perfect flex behavior and also allows for a large number of geometry solutions.
The WP XPLOR shock absorber is the key element on the proven PDS rear suspension design (progressive damping system), where the shock is directly linked to the swingarm without an additional linkage system. This keeps weight lower and reduces the chances of hooking on rocks. Optimal enduro-specific damping progression is achieved by using a second […]
The lightweight polyethylene tank has a capacity of 8.5 liters. You will always be able to see how much fuel remains at a glance, thanks to the see-through plastic. By pushing the orange release button in the center of the fuel tank cap, the bayonet mechanism makes refueling quick and easy. It is fitted with […]
All EXC models are fitted with the latest 48 mm diameter, WP XPLOR upside-down forks, featuring a split fork design developed by WP and KTM. While each side is fitted with springs, they have separate damping functions. Compression damping is on the left and the rebound on the right. Both can easily be adjusted via […]
The high-tech, lightweight chrome-moly steel frame has a knack for easy handling, outlandish rideability, precise cornering and excellent stability. You can also count on high torsional rigidity and low longitudinal stiffness. This results in better absorption of the energy created from the front and rear suspension sucking up jumps and bumps. In short: more comfort […]
You can’t brake any harder, better, faster or stronger. High-tech Brembo calipers are combined with lightweight Wave brake discs. The steel-flex front brake hose has efficient protection and there’s an integrated channel for the speedometer cable. First you outrun them, then you outbrake them.
The new airbox on the KTM 250 EXC-F SIX DAYS has been completely reworked to ensure better flow dynamics, resulting in optimal power and throttle response. Despite the obvious performance enhancements, the new design also offers maximum protection against soiling of the air filter. The large twin-air air filter is mounted on a cleverly designed […]
